James J. Gribouski, a senior partner, focuses his practice of law on criminal defense. After spending five years as a prosecutor in Essex County, Massachusetts, Mr. Gribouski recognized the true calling of a lawyer is the protection of individual rights. Since 1985 Mr. Gribouski has defended thousands of individuals charged with crimes by the government. He has tried serious, complex criminal cases in almost every county of Massachusetts as well as in the Federal District Court of Massachusetts.

During his twenty-three years of criminal defense practice, Mr. Gribouski has represented more than forty individuals charged with first-degree murder. The government has not been able to obtain a first-degree murder conviction against any of those clients. Additionally, Mr. Gribouski represents individuals charged with operating under the influence of liquor, drug offenses, sexual assaults and white-collar offenses. He is frequently called upon by other attorneys seeking his advice.

Mr. Gribouski believes that each of his clients deserve the best representation that a lawyer is able to provide. This requires thorough investigation and preparation. Mr. Gribouski believes that every issue must be examined thoroughly and each case prepared extensively. Every client of Mr. Gribouski can be certain that every possible defense has been examined.

Mr. Gribouski is a frequent lecturer for other attorneys attending training courses. He is also a co-author of Trying Drug Cases in Massachusetts. In recognition of the high quality of legal representation provided to his clients, Mr. Gribouski has been repeatedly recognized in Best Lawyers of America, Massachusetts Super Lawyers and New England Super Lawyers.
